Volunteer - Water the Trees

What can I help with?

Friends of Wagner Park needs volunteers to help water the trees planted in September 2018. We will need help watering the trees likely through 2020.

Our next opportunity to help is during the Summer of 2019.

Do you have a guide?

Yes! Here is a guide (with pictures!) showing how to water the trees. Remember, doing this with a partner makes it easier as the partner can turn on and off the water and help drag the hose around.

Step 1: Get the hose & "watering key" from Alex's driveway (1400 Wagner)

Step 2: Lift purple lid to access spout. Then Attach hose to nozzle to the spout using the "watering key"

Step 3: Pull the hose to each Treegator®. 

Step 4:  Turn on water & Fill up each Treegator ®  to about 75% - Look under the tag flap on the green ones and use the red opening on the gray ones

Step 5: After all Treegator® is filled up, make sure the water is turned off & the lid is replaced. Then return  the hose to Alex's driveway

Step 6: Give your self a pat on the back for helping the trees grow strong!
